"Alice and her family are 'the beautiful people' both inside and out. Nothing is too much trouble and everything falls into place like a family heirloom quilt; comforting, artistic and valued. Such a wonderful building, now a warm and welcoming home. It is light, refreshing, interesting and homely despite the apparent size. The family live on the top floor and the ground floor falls in the communal areas with a very personal touch. Rooms are on the first floor and each one is an individual as the guests they receive. Just a great all round experience. We will definitely be going back, it will feel like visiting old friends."

"We stayed at Monastere du Brucourt for 3 nights. It's a stately, elegant manor house with an incredibly pleasant view of the surrounding countryside and the sea.||||Alice's hospitality was wonderful—she made dinner reservations for us, laid a gorgeous breakfast table each morning, noticed when we were sitting outside and provided us with music and light, and generally made us feel welcome. She's decorated the interior beautifully with her own vintage finds.||||The house has a pool table and a grand piano in the large common living area. It would be a great place for several families to get together. A pretty cat graces the patio, living area, and hallways now and then with her presence.||||The Monastere is about 5-10 minutes from Cabourg/Dives on the sea and about 20 minutes from Caen. It was a good base to explore Normandy, but we did do a fair amount of driving (45 minutes to Bayeux for example). Next time we'll just stay and relax at the Monastere!"

"Monastere de Brucourt is a serandipity in 2020! It is a true French hidden gem in the beautiful seaside region of Normandy : it has beautiful panoramic view of the rolling hills; the nearest beach is about 4/5km away; the halls and rooms are gorgeously decorated with taste and style. To add more, Alice, the host is one of the best - she is welcoming, kind and helpful. The breakfast everyday to the guests is of rich selection and made with fresh ingredients from the area. She also offers some additional services/activities upon request (at extra cost) - my children enjoyed her clay modelling lesson and we also had a lovely private dinner there. Everything was perfect, we already start missing this place!"

"Alice and her family welcomed us in their amazing Monastery. We had a lovely time and really felt at home. The breakfast in the beautifully decorating dinning room is truly a unique experience. I strongly recommend you a stop in this place out of time."

"Alice and her family gives this former Monastery a friendly and unformal touch that makes our stay truly memorable. She is devoted in giving you the best possible experience from the region with good advice on where to eat, what to see, where to drive aso. |The driveway up calls for both gps and careful driving if you have more than a medium-size car. |A pool would really lift this place, but the beach is just a short drive away."
